Becoming a MA first would be a waste of time and $. Concentrate on the nursing route. The skills that you learn in MA school that you need to be a RN would be re-taught in nursing school (so that would be a duplication of effort) and the non nursing skills you learn in MA school you would not need to be a RN--also a waste. So there is really no good reason to do this as a pre-reg to nursing school-it would also prolong your time in school as well. You would only need to be a CNA if you needed to--it is not a requirement for nursing unless the school requires it. And becoming a MA then a CNA then a RN is really going about it in a total round about way.Hey guys well i need advice.. i am interested in becoming an RN and was planning?
Go straight to Nursing school to the 4 year program. You don't have to start at the bottom ( unless you are in a dire situation).
