Guys, I need your advice! I don't know what to do!?

First of all, if you people are going to give me bad advice, say something stupid, or something like that, don't anwser this! I'm 13 years old! I just want you to know, I am NOT too young to be asking a guy out, so don't even try. Okay, I asked my best guy friend out, because I thought he like me back.It was just two days ago. When I did, he never answered. My friend then asked him about it and he said that he didn't really like me, and that he couldn't of asked me out that way because we were just friends. He's a really great guy friend, and I haven't talked to him since then. I know this sounds kinda stupid, but I need an excuse that's resonable and believeable of why I didn't really ask him out, and that i was just really confused that day. I really want to keep him as a guy friend. And I am now over him anyway, so it's not like I want to get him to like me more. HELP!Guys, I need your advice! I don't know what to do!?
don't lie to him, if he's a great guy like you say he is then talk to him in person and let him know how you feel but that you don't want it to go further since he doesn't feel the same way and that you should continue to be friends.
