Hey guys.. I need some advice..?

On tuesday I gave my employer a 2 week notice, ( though I know that it isn't a requirement but a professional courtesy ).. so in the past few days she has been acting weird towards me, then today I asked her for monday off b/c of a personal issue, she says ';NO YOU HAVE TO BE HERE, YOU HAVE TO WORK YOUR LAST 2 WEEKS! ';


Do I really ? I mean I gave her my 2 weeks , and now she's being to rude towards me , what should I do. I really have something important to do on Monday , I cant make it to work ( current job )..

The issue is your work record. Will you need this lady's recommendation for your next or future jobs? If so, then it's best to get to work. From what you wrote, she probably would give you a bad recommendation anyway.


Obviously, she is resentful at your leaving and is trying to punish you. If you don't need her, leave. Maybe she will learn a lesson from it. A lot of employers, too many, feel that the position entitles them to treat their employees poorly. Not so.Hey guys.. I need some advice..?
dont know if your are Canadian but in canada you are entitles to have a monday off if you want you can report her to the human resources or the union if your workplace is unionized. USA has same laws but about monday being off but they cant fire you just threaten your boss that you will go to the human resources or the union and if she fires u she will get into trouble. therefore monday is off for you and use the legal side in situations like these.





if she still doesnt give it off report her. she has to give the monday off
I had a similar situation once and I chose to go with the new one. I got fired from the old right after.But you're gonna be leaving that one anyways right? If you fear that you might get fired, I'd quit first before they fire you so you can tell future employees that your old job was not willing to accommodate for that 1 day and so you quit.

no you are not obligated to work speccialy since you had the courtecy of letting her know that you were leaving.
Do your important thing. Some people just can't give up their own sense of power over and tripping others with it.
take a 2 week vacation
make a complaint because she can't fire you for giving her a two week notice.
